AKA:
Johnathan Slavin
Jonathan is an avid animal rights activist, and resides in Los Angeles with his "family of many differently-abled" pets. All of his "kids" are rescued animals, that includes "a blind dog named Klunk, a three legged cat named Scooter, a 200 pound pot bellied pig with back problems," named 'Ouisa.
Most recently, Jonathan saved and nursed back to health a duck that was mauled by an un-leashed dog at a public park. Her name is Delores ("to be sung to the tune of Paul Simon's 'Slip Slidin' Away," says Slavin). Though her recovery has been remarkable, the severity of her injuries has made
More it difficult for her to walk. Jonathan's friends call her "the TRUE lame duck."
And, oh, yes... and he is also an actor.
Born in North Carolina and raised in Pennsylvania, Jonathan was a "painfully shy child." At the ripe old age of 14, he went on stage playing the role of "a cursing, bratty kid," and hearing the other kids laugh, knew that he had found his calling.
After high school, Jonathan headed off on his own to New York where he appeared on Broadway in "The Sisters Rosensweig." His off-Broadway and regional theater productions include "Birdsend," "The Destiny of Me," "The Best of Schools" and "Six Degrees of Separation."

He also toured with several theater groups, which eventually brought him to Los Angeles where his television and film career began.
