On June 15, 1981, Jordi Vilasuso was born to Ana and Dr. Francisco Vilasuso in Miami, Fl. His father, then studying to be an Ob/Gyn, delivered Jordi himself. Jordi's father is now an anesthesiologist at a pain management clinic, where he is head doctor. His mother, Ana, works there. Jordi has two siblings. An older brother named Javier and a younger sister, Marianne.Jordi went to high school at Ransom Everglades High School in Coral Gables, Fl. Then he went on to Glendale College in California. During his high school years, Jordi and his siblings would work in his father's clinic. Jordi did the filing.When Jordi was in the sixth grade, he was bitten by the acting bug. He had auditioned for a role in a musical spoof of The Little Shop of Horrors which was called Pete's Little Lunchonette of Terror. "I had never taken any acting classes or sang before. I just auditioned for fun and wound up playing Pete,the main role," Jordi explains. Jordi had a desire for acting, so his parents found him an agent and he began working in commercials and theater. In the eighth grade, Jordi appeared in his first film, The Last Home Run. In his senior year at REH, he was drama club president. He left Miami to Los Angeles soon after graduation. He got some work out there which included a guest starring role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.Jordi headed out to New York to audition for GL. He was worried, since he had auditioned for General Hospital and Passions but didn't get a role. He also tried out for As the World Turns. Obviously, Jordi got the role of Tony Santos. He debuted on GL on August 29, 2000. Jordi plans to study film production and create his own projects.
