- ive read on various sites that jorja has not signed up for season 8 and will be leaving the show to purse other projects. does anyone know if there is truth in these rumours? i know the season finale cliffhanger involves her, does she die? i so hope this in not true, she is my fav actress on ths show, i may stop wacthing if this is true.You must be registered and logged in to post a message.
There have been many reports in various publishings (NYPost, TV Guide, ect.) But there has been no confirmed reports. The whole thing could just be to get people fired up about the finale. But, I've read that if she is leaving it's because she wants more money and CBS does not want to give her the desired amount! I red in a french magazine that "Jorja Fox, being Sara Sidle, the pretty Grissom's expert, has been fired from CSI! Ahhhhhhh - It could be greed.. but what does that really matter to all of us that really enjoy the show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
I've liked Jorja Fox in the two most popular shows she has been in ... ER and CSI. She plays her roles in such a way that I wonder if it is much like her true self. Sara Sidle - Independent, caring, romantic, a bit lacking in self esteem (trust me I mean a BIT), because she holds out hope for Gil Grissom, (who is as every one can see - NOT needy in a lot of ways - Love, Friends, etc...), for years. Yes we have all seen the episodes where they are a bit flirty - but then again those scenes could have been taken as they seemed to be presented at the time as "just friends" showing concern between them.
Dont get me wrong ... I ENJOY Sara Sidles character - I watch the show for ALL of them because they are all great actors and bring life to the show as a team ... Even HODGES - Yet I cant wait to see where the blossoming of Sara and Gil's relationship will take them.. I figure if she is back - that hopefully she will continue in some sort of role in CSI just maybe a different shift then Gil - HEY why cant they put Marg in Charge of Days again and put Sara with her and hire more team mates to liven up the whole show to more.
GIVE US BACK SARA please.. lol
I like her character because I look at her and see myself in her... the Character not the actress.
You must be registered and logged in to post a message.It annoys me when people call her greedy (not picking on anyone on this board I've just seen it on a lot of boards lately). All she is doing is holding out for the money the rest of the cast (apart from George) got in season 5.
None of us really know why she was sacked before season 5 started and we probably never will do, but when she was taken back on it was on the same wage as she'd been receiving for the first five seasons. Everyone else (apart from George) was given an extra $50,000 per episode including the actors on the same level as her like Gary Dourdan.
$50,000 per episode is a hell of a lot of money, especially if you look at season 7, Gary was hardly in it and still got $50,000 an episode more!
I really do hope they come to some sort of agreement because I love Sara, but I think if Jorja walks away from CSI she will get offered lots of jobs and probably at the wagescale CBS are refusing to offer her - I'd be surprised if she didn't know this.

She's not greedy. look- i bet all of this hoohah was just to give the rating a wee nudge. From what I know of Ms Fox she is certainly NOT the type to abandon a great show over $$$. I mean, she just acted recently in a film for free!!!!

Anywho, Billy Petersen got mad and refused to show up on the first day of shooting (mind you he's under contract to show up). But they rehired Jorja. George Eads firing was a differnt thing. I just thought I would shed a little light on the first time it happened and as has already been said she did not get the pay raise everyone else did at the time. I wasn't around then, so I've always been a little bit shady on the details. Where did you hear that she was signed on for five episodes? I haven't read that anywhere.

- I'm not saying i wan't Sara to die but, the cast of CSI Las Vegas is really big and there just adding more, I do not wan't any of the actors to leave but, hey if she want's to leave i say let her, i don't want somebody that doesn't want to be there, there, and they CSI Las Vegas is the only CSI where they have not killed of a main caracter.You must be registered and logged in to post a message.

- Frankly, I do not watch a show because of one ego over the other. Sorry, I meant "actor". If the writing and the story hold their own weight, the people can come and go as they please. I mean let's face it, half of the rubbish on telly merits honorary handicap stickers for the cast and crew of said shows. I'll watch it with or without 'Nick' or 'Sara'. An hour solid of static beats watching anything else. Besides, until anything *factual* is revealed this conversation is mere reactionary to heresay from the far-flung corners of media drivel, the media will do and say anything to keep you tuned in and that includes producers of certain TV shows. - Well, with Grissom and Sara hooking up as a couple--which I thought was completely er-uh gross, the show to me is completely lagging. I don't care for Jorja Fox. She's pretty cool but if she doesn't come back to CSI I won't have a mental melt down.
