On December 5, 2007, Arnel Pineda, who hails from Quezon City Philippines, became the new vocalist for Journey. He replaced Jeff Scott Soto.

Gregg Rolie was a member of the band Santana. He was their organist and vocalist. He had a disagreement with Carlos Santana and left the band and then joined Journey.
