Julie was born in New York on February 9th 1965. She attended the Dalton School at the age of 12. Julie tried out for a role in the movie "Pretty Baby" and although she was unsuccessful, it led to a role on "Guiding Light".
Julie attended Brown University, where her major was theatre arts. She graduated in 1987.
Also in 1987 Julie moved to Los Angeles and in 1988 she gained her first major TV role as Andrew Dice's girlfriend on "Andrew Dice Clay: The Diceman Cometh". During the early 1990s, Julie had parts in "Flatliners", "Doc Hollywood" and "Mr Saturday
… More Night" and in 1995 she debuted in the short-lived NBC sitcom "Pride and Joy".
On June 17th 1995 Julie married Jonathan Prince, who she met in 1994 at a charity benefit. Her first child, Jackson Roy Prince, was born in 1997.
Julie returned to TV in CBS series "Family Law" in 1999 and she also had a recurring role in Fox's "Party of Five".
