Juliette Binoche
Juliette Binoche was born in 1964 to a film director and an actress in Paris. At 15 she entered the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts.



In 1982 Binoche was given a small role in the small, independent film Liberty Belle. Over the next five years, she worked as a clerk in a Parisian department store.



She was 24 when she received her first big break in Philip Kauffman's "The Unbearable Lightness of Being." Her performance brought much praise and soon after she was offered the leading role in "Trois Couleurs: Bleu", Part 1 of Krzysztof







More Kieslowski's highly acclaimed Three Colours trilogy.



In 1996 her role as Hanu, the Canadian nurse in the blockbuster "The English Patient" won her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. In 2000, she was nominated for Best Actress for the film "Chocolat."
