Kahlen is the daughter of Tom and Keven Rondot. She has 2 sisters, Tara and Tori.

Kahlen graduated from the Barbizon Modeling and Acting Center in Dallas, Texas.

Kahlen competed for twelve weeks against 14 other modeling hopefuls to become one of the top two America's Next Top Model finalists.

Kahlen was working as a maitre d' at a five-star restaurant when she was spotted by the show's producers and creator Tyra Banks and asked to audition for America's Next Top Model.

Kahlen moved to New York City to pursue a modeling career at the age of 19.

Kahlen had endured some hard times on the show (America's Next Top Model); such finding out that her friend died, then - coincidentally - having to pose in a coffin. Because of all her anger, she depicted 'Wrath', the sin she was portraying, very well. Overall, she proved to be a rather strong contender during the show.

Kahlen was the runner up of America's Next Top Model cycle 4. She has said she never watched the program before she went to the auditions for the show.
