Kat married fellow tattoo artist Oliver Peck, whom she had met at age 16, when she took her first job at a professional tattoo shop named True Tattoo in Hollywood, California. Oliver has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, he always has to wear red shoes. If he does not have a pair of red shoes to put on, he will not wear any at all. He carries his own personal fork everywhere he goes, in his front shirt pocket. He refuses to eat with any other utensil, if he forgets the fork, he will go all the way home to retrieve it. He will not eat the purple sweet heart candies, he eats every color, but the purple, he saves all of those in a Ziploc bag. Kat and her husband Oliver Peck have since divorced.

Kat has tattooed celebrities like Bam Margera, Ville Valo, Eric Balfour, Steve-O, Eve, Nicole Richie, Green Day, Frank Iero, Guns N Roses, Sebastian Bach, Travis Barker, Jenna Jameson, Scott Ian, Ryan Dunn, Slayer, The Mars Volta, and Mira Sorvino.

Kat loves to skateboard, often riding one to work, she also enjoys going to the movies, and drawing in her free time.

Kat owns two Sphinx cats (hairless), one is named Hollywood and the other is Lebowski. Their nicknames are Leebo and Holly.

Kat wears hair extensions, her true hair length is to her shoulders. She also loves to wear platform heels from the 1970s.

Kat's life plans do not include children, she isn't interested in becoming a parent.

Kat's heroes are: Dolly Parton, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Jesse "Boots" Electric Hughes, Odd Nerdrum, and her father. Her friends know how much she admires Dolly Parton, so for her birthday, they hired a Dolly Parton look alike to come sing Happy Birthday to her, she was thrilled.

Kat has earned the reputation of being generous to a fault, having a wonderful bedside manner, and is extremely loyal to her friends and family. She maintains a strong relationship with her parents as well as her siblings, finding time to spend with them is a priority.

Kat was one of the busiest tattoo artists in Los Angeles, CA long before she appeared on the TLC reality television series, Miami Ink, where she appeared for the first two seasons.

Kat had the biggest period of growth at the Tattoo shop 'Inflictions', in Covina, California. She moved on to Sin City after two years, where she met Chris Garver, Tim Hendricks and Clay Decker, three of the biggest names in the tattoo business.

Kat gave her first tattoo at the age of 15, with a homemade gun. It was the skull logo from the punk band 'The Misfits,' it felt right to her, and decided that she would follow a career utilizing this art form.

Kat realized her artisitic abilities after her first tattoo, she began drawing tattoos for all of her friends, who in turn, urged her to go ahead and learn to tattoo them on permanently for them.

Kat's paternal grandmother played a significant role in shaping her artistic development, particularly in playing the piano and exposing her to the great composers.
