Wife of Rick Hilton, partial heir to the Hilton hotel chain, an mother of Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton, Barron Hilton, Conrad Hilton and sister of Kim Richards & Kyle Richards.


In 1979 after a brief and uneventful movie and television career where she had several appearances in low budget films she married Rick Hilton, a successful real estate developer and partial heir to the Hilton chain of hotels.


Since the success of her daughter, Paris, she has appeared in several television reality series as herself. Usually in connection with her daughter's own shows.


In 2007 she was the focus of media attention for her comments and behavior regarding her Paris Hilton high profile sentencing to 45 days in jail for driving on a suspended license.
