Kelli Williams

Kelli Williams Trivia

  • Trivia

    • During the second season of The Practice (1997), Kelli became pregnant with her first child. The pregnancy was not written into the show, and so the writers gave her character the job of re-decorating the law office... easily hiding her expanding belly behind tables and paintings. By the time the fifth season came around, Ms. Williams became pregnant once again, but this time Lindsay was newly married to senior partner Bobby and writers were able to fit it into the storyline. During the show's seventh season, Kelli became 'pregos' once again and, although her on-screen marriage was still on (but hanging by a thread), producers failed to make her character pregnant.

  • Quotes

    • Kelli: (on juggling kids and work) It's not as hard as I think it is for women that don't get to take their kids to work with them. I think I'm a little schizophrenic sometimes when I have to memorize my lines, but it's great. It's worth being a little extra tired.

    • Kelli: (on how it is on the set of "The Practice") Because most of the stuff we have to do is so serious, there is a lot of joking behind the scenes. It is a pretty light set. There are a lot of bets as to who will make mistakes during their closing arguments.

    • Kelli: (on how it is to kiss Dylan McDermott) It is really like any other scene at this point because we have done so many of them, and Dylan is cute and all that, but I would really prefer if it was my husband.

    • Kelli: (on her moods during pregnancy) I don't have big mood swings, but when I get overtired, I start crying. Anything can trigger it. Actually, nothing can trigger it.

    • Kelli: (on doing a comedic role) I would love to do silly, comedic things. I'm really silly normally, a little clumsy. I'd like to do something completely different.

    • Kelli: (on her husband's reaction to her steamy love scenes with Dylan McDermott) Sure, it bothers him, but he writes those kinds of scenes himself. I tell him it had to be somebody's wife. Strangely enough, you get to used to it.
