Kelly Rutherford : (on her Gossip Girl character, Lily, and on-screen husband, Rufus) I definitely think we need to have more sex. (laughs) . I think it's nice when we don't just show the intimacy between the kids. And what I like, even now, is that Rufus and Lily are affectionate. Not enough to gross out the kids – nobody loves seeing their parents do that -- but I think we represent a couple that loves one another and shows it.

Kelly Rutherford: (on the truth behind Hollywood's "casting couch") It has never ever been a bad thing in Hollywood to be sleeping with a director who's just won an Oscar or the hot new movie star whose face is on the cover of Time magazine.

Kelly Rutherford: I think so much of gossip is affirming that we're not alone. I think everyone gossips on a certain level. I think gossip has been in fashion forever, and for that reason.

Kelly Rutherford: (advice on how to handle gossip) Don't let it affect your view of the world. Know that you will get past school and do great things. It usually means there's a reason you're standing out. It usually means you're special.

Kelly Rutherford: (on living a green lifestyle) Basically, everything we're doing, we do it the most natural and non-toxic way possible. But our house doesn't look like an eco house. It looks like a nice house. You don't have to sacrifice style to be green!

Kelly Rutherford: If there's a way that I can have less, it's great. I'm not against anything, I'm not against fur, or meat, I'm just about what makes sense in your life.

Kelly Rutherford: (on high school life) I think high school's very difficult. You're figuring out your own power and your effect on other people. You look back and see how you spent so much energy on figuring out things with your parents or your peers.

Kelly Rutherford: (on how she met Mr. Right) I would sit down with my dates and say, 'I'm ready to get married and have kids, so if you're not ready for that right away, let's be friends.' My husband, Daniel, was very much a family person, and being with him wasn't boring!
