Kevin Dunn, born in Chicago, Illinois, on February 26, 1956 to a nurse mother and a musician and poet father, is considered one of the most bankable American supporting and character actors, with over 100 roles in both television and motion pictures to his credit. Owing to his acting prowess and flexibility, Dunn is able to give justice to diverse portrayals in different television and film genres, whether it be a thriller like Lions for Lambs (2007), a romantic drama like Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008), even to being the main antagonist in the Unstoppable (2010). Some of the blockbuster movies he starred in include Hot Shots! (1991), Godzilla (1998), Nixon (1995), Chain Reaction (1996), Blue Steel (1989), Ghost Busters II (1989) and Brian de Palma's hit The Bonfire of the Vanities (1990). He has garnered a following for his role of the protagonist in the Transformers hit movie series, the most recent of which is Transformers : Dark of the Moon (2011). His sister is Saturday Night Live's Nora Dunn.
