- Kevin James had a guest role on Martial Law and did a high kick. How did he do that? you ask, well. Before his acting career Kevin studied Kungfu on eastern Long Island, NY and became an expert. The idea for his acting name came from his old Kungfu friend Dennis James who suggested Kevin James because it was catchy, easy to remember and their instructor's first name. Dennis also suggested that Kevin write an idea to present for his own show, which of course Kevin did.

- The 2005-06 season finale of The King of Queens was dedicated to the memory of Kevin's father, who died in 2006.
