When Kevin Smith is funny in a movie, he's funny. I've seen Jersey Girl, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, both Clerks, his appearances on the teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation, and Dogma. Almost all of these films are really funny. I don't like them as much as other people seem to, but I do think they all have their hilarious moments. He seems to be a great guy. I wish he would make more Jay and Silent Bob movies, or at least another Clerks film, but oh well I guess. He seems like a nice guy and it would be interesting to meet him sometime. Not my favorite filmmaker or anything but he is decent enough and I really do wish he would make more movies in the future, preferably comedy of course
  • My favourite film director and writer of all time. A man who has changed the film business forever....

Kevin Smith is a great film-maker who's career many would kill for. Kevin was born on August 2, 1970. His first film, Clerks, came out in 1994 and since become a classic movie. His second film, Mallrats (1995), was another great film. His next three films: Chasing Amy, Dogma, and Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back: were all hilarious and each did fairly well at the box office. Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back was originally intended to be the final Jay and Silent Bob movie. Although it was a great film and would have been a good finale for the characters, I'm rather glad it ended up not being the final Jay And Silent Bob movie. Smith's 2004 film Jersey Girl was despised by critics, although I really enjoyed the film. Smith's 2006 return to Clerks (Clerks 2) has become my favourite movie, and his film Zach and Miri Make A Porno, was also really hilarious. However, I was rather dissapointed with his latest film, Cop Out. It just wasn't good to me! It just seemed like a failure for Smith. I am excited to see if he can bounce back with his upcoming film Red State! I really look forward to seeing it!

Kevin Smith is funny. He is awesome as Silent Bob in his comedy films of Clerks (including Clerks the Animated Series). He is talented. He is also good as Freddie in Die Hard 4.0 with the Star Wars stuff. He is great as a actor. He is also good with Zack and Miri.
  • As a writer, director and producer I believe he has proved that he has what it takes to go even further.

Kevin Smith is the funniest man alive! As a director and an actor he is brilliant. His work is original and in a league of it's own. He takes comedy to another level as Silent Bob. It was great seeing him play a part on one of my favourite movies, Live Free or Die Hard. Even though his character was seemingly serious he still made me laugh. As a writer, director and producer I believe he has proved that he has what it takes to go even further. It's like there is no barrier to how crazy he can and will go, but also, he has shown that he can do serious too. I look forward to seeing more of him and what he can do.
  • Kevin Smith, Funniest man alive. Forget that I've said a silly thing Kevin Smith, Funniest man ever.

If your not familiar get out there and watch all of his Jay & Silent Bob films. If your a bit of a nerd like me and your in for some crude humour you will find your favorite comedys ever which will quite possibly be up with your favourite films. Not only does this guy put out great movies he puts out great web based stuff things. Blogs and a hillarious weekly podcast with his equally favorable bud Scott Moiser (who by the way I want to see a film from). He's out there giving you hillarious content day in and day out.

    Watch his films

    Watch his shows

    Read his shows

    Listen to his jokes

    Watch his Q&A's

It's all funny and it's all classic.

What more can you say about Kevin Smith other than that he is one of those classic directors who sticks with directing movies in his own little niche. Well, that niche happens to contain some of the best comedies of the 1990s and 2000s, such as "Clerks," "Dogma," and "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back."
  • Utterly sweet

well i come from new jersey my self and i enjoy seeing all the things in the movies. Its not just that though. Smith is clever and has a great sense of humor. His type of humor in the films always make me laugh. I also like how he links his movies to eachother which is rele cool
  • The man who brought you Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. Most inportantly, he was the man who brought the world the pharse 'Snoochie Boochies Bluntman'.

Kevin Smith is the greatest, funniest and most talented directors around, of course barring those who are greater, funnier and more talented. If you've seen any of his films, you would know just how great of a writer/director he is - hence why he's won a couple of awards. He's a god. Now who can argue with that.
