Trivia and Quotes

  • Trivia

  • Quotes

    • Kiersten Warren (On her character Nora's storylines in Desperate Housewives, season 3): I have very colorful issues, issues that may or may not respond to medication. I'm a bee in Lynette's bonnet. God love Lynette to put up with Nora.

    • Kiersten: (On Bring It On: All Or Nothing and The Astronaut farmer): I play a friend of Virginia Madsen in [The Astronaut Farmer]. It's a sweet movie about a farmer who always dreamed of being an astronaut, was actually in the program and falls out of it for reasons that you'll find in the movie. It's a really sweet film. And Bring it On: All or Nothing I don't think needs any explanation.

    • Kiersten (On her future projects): I have a movie called The "Astronaut Farmer" with Virginia Madsen and Billy Bob Thornton, coming up. I'm not really sure what the release date is on that. And then I start work on a new cartoon called "Slacker Cats" where I'm the voice of one of the kittens there. And beyond that, while I'm working on "Desperate Housewives", it's really hard to go out and make another deal to do something else, because you're employed. What will I do next? I don't know

    • Kiersten (After being asked if she would become one of the notorious women of Wisteria Lane): I don't know. I don't know about notorious. I'm just trying to fulfill my needs and everybody else's and my daughter's, and looking out for myself in a big way. I think when you've been a really young mother, you feel like you have to fight the whole world. Maybe Nora has a little bit of that fight and maybe doesn't know when to turn it down that much.

    • Kiersten (When asked will she watch the Desperate Housewives season 2 DVD): I will because I had a baby and I missed so many of the episodes. I've been either pregnant or watching sprouts, so I want to see what's going on with absolutely everybody.

    • Kiersten (on her Desperate Housewives character Nora and her co-star Felicity Huffman): It takes focus you have to make sure you have had a power bar or something that day. But Felicity (Huffman) is such an amazing actress that just being with her, and by just being close to that talented flame, you warm yourself and you look good.

    • Kiersten Warren (On Desperate Housewives): It is such a great platform to be on. You have to respect the phenomena of this show. You always want a job and sometimes you get a break. I've been saying for a while, "I don't need a job -- I need a break." It is a gift. I was over the moon excited when I got the call.

    • Kiersten Warren (On her Desperate Housewives character, Nora): I had a daughter when I was very young when I was in high school. I know a little bit about facing insurmountable odds. So maybe I bring some of that to Nora.

  • Kiersten Warren - Where you been all my life?

This is a super talented actress who shines best when given roles that ping the dramatic meters. Case in point is her most famous role to date, that of Nora Huntington on Desperate Housewives. And it was this fragile/ferocious portrayal that helped garner a SAG "Best Ensemble Cast" nomination for the episode BANG and brought in the highest ratings in the shows history since its' premiere. TV.guideonline called her a "powerhouse actress" in its' review of this episode.

The scene where Kiersten's character is killed is one of the most popular Desperate Housewives downloads on Youtube followed by a sendup of Southparks "Kayla's Mom is a **** which has attained a cult like status with it's masteful cuts of Warren and Huffman going round and round in a Tom and Jerry kind of tragicomedy.

It's seldom that you see an actress with an ability to balance on that thin edge of a wedge between drama and comedy. I'm thinking that the reason we don't see more of her is that she's so specific and most girl roles are generic to the point of snoozedom. I expect to see her in her own show or a shiny high profile supporting role on the big screen acting next to some movie star who wonders how this girl who claims she's forty can be stealing scenes from them like a felon. The age thing is a riddle for she truly seems ageless. Mike Newell the director has said of Warren that God probably knew of her difficulty in having and raising her first child while still in high school and gave her a decade back as a present. And while you can insert my gooflike shrug of consternation here, cuz I don't now about that, I do agree that she's aging with a grace and a face that I admire and has raised a gorgeous contributing member of society in actress Misti Traya. She is currently married to fellow actor Kirk Acevedo and together they raise their child in Los Angeles and New York City. And if this is any indication of things to come, their child was known by all of us in the press line at the premiere of FRINGE (which is Daddy's show) as "Baby Natalie Wood."moreless
  • This wonderful actress in best known for her work on Desperate Housewives and Saved By The Bell: The College Years.

This actress is amazing. I loved her when she played Nora Huntington on Desperate Housewives. She was also good when she appeared as Trish Sackett in the hit movie 13 Going On 30, starring Jennifer Garner. Though her character on Desperate Housewives was very annoying, she gave a very good performance. She is very talented. Her last episode of Desperate Housewives, in which her character was shot and killed, aired on November 5, 2006, the day after her forty-first birthday. She really is a great actress. Even in small roles, she portrays them beautifully. She is definately a talented actress.moreless
