Kirsten Prout is best known as Abby Miller, the young teenage ninja and sidekick to Elektra Natchios in Elektra , the spin-off to 2003's smash hit Daredevil. However, the young Canadian actress expressed an interest in acting as a toddler and was demanding to try it by the tender age of four. At the age of nine, her parents caved in to her requests in hopes of getting the acting bug out of her system. However, it went from an interest to a major passion, and in just a few short years, Kirsten has built up an impressive resume in both film and television.

More Prior to her starring role in Elektra, she completed a role in The Love Crimes of Gillian Guess and filmed guest stints on "Cold Squad" and "Stargate SG-1". Her other credits include roles in Once Upon a Christmas, Twice Upon a Christmas, Mindstorm and The Wedding Dress, as well as guest roles on "First Wave", "Mysterious Ways" and "Jeremiah". She currently stars as Amanda Bloom on "Kyle XY" a science fiction show for ABC Family. The show shoots in Vancouver, British Columbia, where Kirsten currently lives.

When not performing, Kirsten stays busy with Tae Kwan Do, track, and field. She loves to sketch, read, write, and just hang out with her friends.

Kirsten Prout, young but experienced. hide show

I've seen Kirsten in a couple different productions. Amanda Bloom on the ABC Series, Kyle XY, and as Abby Miller in the Marvel screenplay, Elektra. I was surprised with both works. In Elektra, her character was so eccentric, complicated, and she portrayed Abby's spirit well. In Kyle XY, her role is less complex, but still interesting. I remember checking her age after I watched both productions and was surprised to find out she was very young. She has an air of maturity, something that's not uncommon in acting, but she is still very different. It's almost as if the role was already something of her, from a past life. She really is a believable actress.
