Kristin Chenoweth

Kristin Chenoweth is a Soprano when using her chest voice, but using her head voice she is a Coloratura Soprano.

In 2008, Kristin was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Pushing Daisies. The following year, she won an Emmy in the same category for the aforementioned show.

Kristin starred as Eve, Barbara, Ella and Passionella in the Roundabout Theatre's production of the Apple Tree until March 2007. She starred alongside Bryan d'Arcy James and Mark Kudisch.

When Kristin was ten, she was a rabbit in The Nutcracker. When a set piece dropped on the floor, she put it in her mouth and hopped away as the audience cheered.

The character of Harriet Hayes on the Aaron Sorkin show Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip is loosely based on Kristin. Like Kristin, Harriet is a spiritual Christian, she is a comedic actor, and she has a CD of spiritual songs. However, unlike Kristin, Harriet opposes homosexual rights.

At one point Kristin dated West Wing creator, Aaron Sorkin.

Kristin performed as Glinda the Good Witch on Broadway in the musical Wicked, opposite Idina Menzel from the opening of the show until July 2004.

Kristin won a Tony Award in 1999 for Best Featured Actress in a Musical as Sally Brown in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown.
