Kristin: I was walking in a jungle in Costa Rica when a big ape charged me. He ran at me through the woods. I ran away screaming in the opposite direction.
-
Kristin: (About the weirdest thing she has done on "Smallville"): I became a vampire and had to wear fangs and do cheesy vampire moves. Then I got covered in fake blood and goo. That was uncomfortable.
-
Kristin: (On how she got involved with her role in "Eurotrip") Eurotrip was just a two-second part with Matt Damon. All I did was dance. I went out to Prague. I shot for two days, and I was there for eight or ten more, just putzing around the city and enjoying myself. Eurotrip was fun.
-
Kristin: I'm not very good at making casual conversation at a party, so taking an interaction and building on it is a skill I've started to build in a film environment. I was always too scared. I'd freak myself out and never go out at all.
-
Kristin: In high school, I was the biggest procrastinator in the world. I had good intentions, but they didn't always work out.
-
Kristin: I wasn't a comic book girl. I was an 'Anne of Green Gables' and 'Nancy Drew' girl.
-
Kristin: I was one of those kids who wanted to do everything, I wanted to be a marine biologist, an actress, a writer, an environmentalist, an activist.
-
Kristin: I spill water on myself all the time at nice restaurants. I've run into poles and knocked myself out.
-
Kristin: Since I was a kid, I've been telling everyone about the rain forest and how it's being destroyed.
-
Kristin: (About doing the "Smallville" pilot at first) When I filmed the pilot, I thought it was a quality show with a good cast, but I had no expectations. I just hoped people would connect with it because there's a lot of heart.
-
Kristin: I honestly would just love to fly. I really, really would. I've wanted to since I was a kid.
-
Kristin: I get uncomfortable in large groups of people and loud music.
-
Kristin: I think the education I've had as an actor I would never have had at university.
-
Kristin: I like to travel normally. I don't want to do anything too fancy. A lot of celebrities travel with a lot of money and can separate themselves from everybody else. I don't want to have to do that, but I understand now why people would get to the place where they're all weird and they can't talk to anybody, and fly first-class everywhere. I don't mind when people come up and talk, you know, it's just when people freak out it's hard to deal with.
-
Kristin: I did gymnastics when I was growing up and to this day I can still do the splits.
-
Kristin: Sometimes I love acting but then sometimes I think it's too much for me. And I don't know if it is something that I could do for the rest of my life.
-
Kristin: I only did theater in high school, and I loved it so much; yeah, I must tell you I loved being on stage. Oddly enough, I'm actually a little intimidated by it now because I know some really great stage actors who are so wonderful and it just freaks me out. But I'd love to eventually get back on stage.
-
Kristin: (About her favorite episodes on "Smallville") I like a lot of the Lex-centric episodes. I think Michael [Rosenbaum] did a great job with "Shattered."
-
Kristin: (When asked if she likes skiing) I'm kind of lazy that way. I like to go up to Whistler, but I haven't skied in years.
-
Kristin: (About being a sex symbol for her fans) I kind of ignore it. I kind of don't pay attention to it. It's not me. That's that person and I'm this person.
-
Kristin: (About her interest in science fiction and fantasy genre.) My sister was actually more of the sci-fi/fantasy person. I wasn't into it as much, although I think it allows you to tell really great family stories and go into your childhood and access your imagination. That's what's really great about sci-fi/fantasy.
-
Kristin: (on keeping herself looking beautiful) My skin is a little sensitive, so I try not to use too many products. After work I'll just clean it with Neutrogena Deep Clean facial cleanser and put on a bit of lotion like Aveda Tourmaline Charged Hydrating Creme or a moisturizer by Kiehl's. I don't always use the same one. After a while my skin starts to get annoyed with one, and then I've got to move on to another.
-
Kristin: It's not that easy to find someone I can relate too. I'm tough to crack because I'm shy.
-
Kristin:
(on who on the set of "Smallville" plays practical jokes) The boys definitely play more practical jokes on one another more than anyone else; the boys as in Tom and Michael. And they do it a lot!
-
Kristin: I love Vancouver so much. It's the most beautiful city. I love the mountains and when the sun is out, it makes up for all the rain.
-
Kristin: I think it's fun when you've been working on a show for a while to play something that is opposite to the character you've been portraying.
-
Kristin: I'm not surrounded by the business. That makes all the difference in the world, 'cause it's so easy to get caught up in it. If you were living in L.A., it'd be like 'Bull****, bull****, bull***... you're this, you're that, you're wonderful, get caught up in this tornado, get caught up, get caught up, get caught up, and the minute it's all gone, you fall and you've got no one to catch you because you let yourself get swept away, when it's all 'Pouff!' And it's all made up and none of it's grounded or real.
-
Kristin: Someday I'd like to do some real traveling. I'm obsessed with Brazil and I've always had this dream of backpacking through South America.
-
Kristin: I'd rather walk than drive a car. In Vancouver, where I am from, you can get to just about anywhere you need to go on foot. Even if it's raining I'll go out for a stroll. I just love that.
-
Kristin: I never dreamed of being an actor, but I'm beginning to love it more and more because I like challenging myself. When I feel like I'm not learning or having fun anymore, then I'll stop.
-
Kristin: If I like it, I'll buy it, pure impulse shopping.
-
Kristin: I wanted to be a forensic scientist for a long time. It's like putting the pieces of a puzzle together. Solving mysteries seemed like it would be fun, scary and exciting all at the same time.
-
Kristin: I love having messy hair. I put in a lot of effort to have it look as messy as possible.
-
Kristin: Just because I don't do bad things doesn't mean I don't have bad thoughts.
