Kyle Brandt

Kyle: (on his Days Of Our Lives character being portrayed as clueless when it came to Belle & Shawn) Everybody who watches the show knows that Philip is so blissfully ignorant about what his wife is thinking all the time. In the last couple of weeks, he finally got it. I want to thank the writers for having him finally wise up, especially as I leave, because the way that the reel ends as Philip leaves is very impressive on Philip's behalf. He stops reacting and becomes the instigator.

Kyle: (on the pranksters on Days Of Our Lives) Bryan Dattilo and I were a really good tandem. We had very different . Where mine is observant and bone dry, he is the kid who ate paint chips and is bouncing off the walls. We did everything from impressions to reciting copious amounts of movie dialogue to sarcastic observations about the script. Bryan is going to need a new partner but I don't know who it's going to be… I'm going to miss all that. Now that I start to talk about it, I'm getting melancholy about leaving. I have a pit in my stomach about it. When I say I enjoyed working here, I mean it in the truest way.

Kyle: (on what he'll miss the most about Days Of Our Lives) I'm going to miss how much I laugh all day every day in this building. I'd say 90 per cent of the workday is spent messing around and having a good time. It's very fortunate to spend your work day laughing with all your best friends.

Kyle: (on his education) I was an English Major. My biggest strengths, both as a person and an actor, are my abilities to communicate and to write. With the hours and attention required here Days I've done very little writing but I plan on doing tons of that now. There are a million things I want to do in addition to acting. The most successful people in any industry, especially here in Hollywood, are the people who have the most slashes in their job titles. The tycoons produce and write and act. That's what I'm going to be working on now.

Kyle: At 27 I find myself single, leaving my job, and at a major crossroads in my life, which is as daunting as it is exciting. There are a lot of different careers and activities that I want to pursue.

Kyle: (what he learnt after playing Phillip on Days Of Our Lives) Keep your friends close and your enemies closer…and marry the right woman! [Laughs]

Kyle: (on life after Days Of Our Lives) I'm looking forward to doing everything! The world is my oyster. I've been at the same place for three years. I've had the same lunch every day for three years. There are so many things I want to pursue. I'm all over the place. I want to do film, prime-time, even talk shows and radio. I've got a lot of things I want to do right now!
