    • Kyle: This past year has been something else...it's opened my eyes to many things and many people. It's had its ups and downs and ins and outs. And I believe we've all been able to take something from that and grow in our own imparticular ways. We've over come obstacles, and set in motion opportunities that can change our own individual lives.

    • Kyle (About his favourite season 1 episode in the show "Blood Ties" : Episode 8 is one of my favorites because the opportunity for more range in Henry and the phenomenal guest star, Julian Sands. Our final episode is out of this world. It'll leave you breathless.

    • Kyle (About what costume element was more challenging - the fangs or the contacts): Definitely the fangs. As soon I tried them on it was obvious it was going to be a challenge to speak without lisping. I borrowed them for a few days just to practice. Nobody likes a lispy vampire.

    • Kyle (Most memorable moment in filming the show "Blood Ties"): The first day was memorable for me. I walked into this studio with these giant eyes, slowly met everybody and got to see the story boards and sketches of our characters. I got the see the sets and was just amazed that all this was to be something we all were going to be part of for almost a year.

    • Kyle (how he prepared for the character Henrey, in the show "Blood Ties"): I watched movies to get the sense of characters, comparing one rendition to another, picking and choosing which traits to follow true with and which not. We also had Tanya Huff who created Henry in the books and Peter Mohan who created it for script. They both, obviously, helped in the creation.

    • Kyle (why he wanted to be part of the show "Blood Ties"): The idea and opportunity to create this absolutely infinite character. Laying him so many different ways and creating the depth to his character that most vampires in today's entertainment lack. Not to mention, growing up as an athlete and having the opportunity to perform most of my stunts.

    • Kyle: (On working with David Cronenberg) It's incredible. Beyond belief incredible. It was surprising in the best ways possible. He's one of the nicest people I think I've ever met on a movie set. He understands and just takes the time to sit and talk to you about things and make you feel the best you can before you walk onto any set. And that's huge as an actor to have that confidence walking in.

  • There are only a small amount of actors today that respect the art and do it proud. Kyle is definately one of those people. When someone can completly convince you they are the character is rare and I fear is slowly becoming a lost art.moreless

Kyle Schmid is one of only a handful of geniune actors now a days. I only recently stumbled onto Blood Ties and I have to admit that I am truly entralled with the show. He is an extremly convincing actor that makes the veiwer beleive he is the charcter that he portrays. I am very impressed with the writers and what they have accomplished with this show. Between all the plots twists, charcter relations and general drama that it has to offer, I see great potential and possibilities with its future. It is truly an exciting and original show. Much Thanks.moreless
  • I first heard of Kyle because I started watching Blood Ties.

In his characterization of Tanya Huff's Henry Fitzroy, Kyle has breathed enhanced life into one of the three best vamps on TV today!

The supernatural aspect of Blood Ties sets it and therefore "Henry" apart from other vampires and vampire shows. But the story line for Henry and indeed all the Blood Ties characters, is so rich and deep that the supernatural almost takes a back seat to the characters themselves. I love this particular role of Kyle's first and foremost, and quite selfishly, I hope we get to see more of it before he hangs up his fangs for good.

I have seen other guest roles and movie roles he has done and from what I can see, he should have a really bright future in the business. I will be cheering for him!moreless
