Kyra Sedgwick

I think Kyra Sedgwick is perfect as the closer. No one will ever be able to replace her. The entire cast is great, from serious characters to funny, as of course I am referring to the two inept detectives. I do not like the role Mary McDonnell plays and would prefer she never appeared again. However, the rest of the cast simply cannot be replaced. Some of my favorite episodes were the "body in the garage" and the "body that fell out of the casket" after a funeral. But Kyra is the driving force in this series. We will surely miss you, Kyra Sedgwick, and your wonderful crew.

Overall this is the best show on television!! It is a light hearted, serious, changeable, intense and meaningful show with great stories to tell!!



I believe the various stars work so very well together, blending their characters as they go... it seems almost like happen-chance!! It takes a lot of effort and talent to pull it off as they do.



I like the way all of the characters have a turn at the "spotlight"... Smart of the writers not to always lead with my favorite star on television today (Kyra).



She is just so talented and PERFECT for the role she plays on The Closer!! Hope I am able to see MANY more seasons to come!!!!

‘The Closer’ is the only thing that I have ever seen Kyra in, but it’s enough to make me want to see more. She’s not what one could call a classical beauty but this does not matter as she has both charm and style, making her quite appealing. Not to mention the fact that she really is cute as all get out. As an actress she has a great presence on the screen, that makes for compelling viewing. One of my favourite actresses.

I\'ve always been a fan of Kyra\'s work, she\'s a joy to watch! I remember just adoring her in Heart & Souls, she was a doll in that! I was so thrilled to see she was in a new TV show and she is damn brilliant in it! She really is charming in The Closer, she plays Brenda to perfection! Any other actress would not have done the character right, she is perfect!

I watch all the shows, and buy the seasons DVDs when they come out. I watch them over and over. I think that Kyra Sedgwick is great! I can not wait til season 3. I really think that Ms. Sedgewick is great for this character, she brings Brenda Leigh to life. She brings with her a great deal of class, humor, and a flawless southern grace to the character. It was really a fun opportunity to watch as she allowed her P.M.S.unit the time to get to know her, watch how she works, how she can make the suspect talk, and how she closes her cases. Their funny antadotes helped to bring alive the character of Brenda Leigh Johnson. Kyra Sedgwick brings to life the south with her southern accent and her contant Thank you's, to the California coast. It makes you think of magnolas and giant old oak tress with moss blowng in the wind in the gentle warm rain. I will keep watching to see what comes next.

Kyra Sedgwick is a faboulous actress. She deserves the Emmy nominations. She is excellent in the Closer. Brenda Lee Johnson is so funny. She is so good at Closing cases but she is crazy. I love her bag. She is always looking through it and I love how she hides her snack food adicition. I also love her cat Kitty. She is so cute. Kyra is an excellent actress and I can't wait to see closer every week. I love Kyra Sedwick as Brenda Lee Johnson she is so funny and smart. I love The Closer and Kyra Sedwick rocks.

Over the years I've come to appreciate Kyra Sedgwick's talent. Her acting is impulsive and raw; she also manages to surprise you regurlarly because you almost never know what she's going to do next. She makes use of the other actors, creating highly emotional or deliciously funny moments and let's them shine in her light.



Kyra also seems to have the 'Holly-Hunter-effect' as I call it, often appearing in supporting roles but being a great asset to the movie, as well as portraying believable characters and making them seem alive. Sedgwick's Brenda Leigh Johnson is just another example of her fabulous acting. She could compete with Rue McClanahan for Best Southern Accent, although Kyra's is fake but she's doing an admirable job at 'fooling' us. Kyra Sedgwick, a great, very talented actress.

As I was flipping channels one day I came across The Closer. At first I was like "great another cop show" but she sucked me right in. Now I can't get enough. Some of my favorite things about her is the faces that she makes and how she sneaks sweets. She is my hero b/c she never give up no matter what. And she makes mistakes but bounces back from them. I am not in law enforcement but I am in the military and even though she is playing a fictional character there is a lot of things I have learned just from watching the show! To sum it up I think she is AWESOME!!

Kyra Sedgwick, while most famous for being married to Kevin Bacon, is really a talented actress. In every role she really makes you believe that she actually is the character she's portraying. This sense of realism is what makes her really stand out above the masses of the rest of actresses today. My favorite movie of her's is "Singles."
