Laraine Newman was born on March 2, 1952 in Los Angeles, California. She is an American actress and voice-actress, best known as being one of the original Saturday Night Live cast members. She appeared on the NBC show from its beginning in 1975 to 1980, starting the alien character of Connie Conehead and others. While in the SNL show, she landed other TV series and TV movie roles. She is credited in having over 130 acting gigs; some of the most notable being the movies Finding Nemo, Wall-E, and Monsters Inc. Notable TV roles include The Fairly OddParents, Danny Phantom, and As Told By Ginger. Other than acting and voicework, she has been an editor for the online One For The Table magazine and contributes, at times, to the Huffington Post. She has also written the "Worst Laid Plans" book forward. Laraine Newman is married to Chad Einbinder and has two children; Lena and Hannah.
