Laura Vandervoort

She is absolutely so pretty! I’m SO envious of her. I love that she is from Canada! (whoo!) We def. need more Canadians out there. Anyways I liked her a lot in Smallville. (I have yet to see her in her movies and or shows) However in Smallville it was sad how they ended it for Season 7. Clark Didn’t even come looking for her! What Was That About!! This was just depressing. (Though her fighting back part where she changed her hair and stuff was pretty cool) Regardless I think she’s an amazing person. I hope we get to see more of her. OH MAN! They should have a trailer for her movie in the background in season 9. It would be AMAZING!

I really dont know what i should say about Laura. ill start with Smallville, as i am a huge fan of the show. Laura was cast as Clark Kent's (Tom Welling) cousin, Kara. Laura i thought had a decent performance. I really wish that she would've done better, but i think she was a little out of her element when she was on the show. i thought she had some fantastic scenes, and a few that weren't so fantastic, but i thought she did and overall good job. Now, when i saw an episode of Instant Star, i thought that Laura did a fantastic job. My sister watched the show, which recently aired its final episode, and while i was waiting for the t.v i noticed that she did a fantastic job. So that is why i think she was out of her element on smallville, but had a decent performance.

She's a very talented actress. I'm glad she's the one that landed the part of "Sadie Harrison" on Instant Star. She's perfect for the role. It's the only show I've seen her act in, but she's done a great job for 3, now 4 seasons. Laura plays her character well and makes "Sadie" so believable. She's also very pretty, and I love her voice. :P Haha. It's interesting to see how far she's brought Sadie, because her character has definately changed a ton in the 4 seasons of Instant Star already aired. Part of it is the writers' impact, but it also takes a talented actress to pull of all the changes. Idk... I just really like her and wish I saw her in more things. Woot. Go Laura. 8)

I wouldn't say Laura is the best which is why I didn't give her a ten. I don't think she really deserves a ten. I'm not saying she's bad or anything because I love the way she plays her character but I think she's capable of being a stronger actress. There are just some scenes where I watch her and I think to myself what the hell is this woman doing. Then there's some scenes where I am captured by the way she delivers Sadie on Instant Star. Overall this woman does have a wholesome beauty and she has improved from the first season of IS.

Laura Vandervoort is the granddaughter of Fred Sanger, a local hockey legend from Grand Falls-Windsor who went on to play Junior 'A' hockey with the Quebec Citadelles. She graduated from York Mills Collegiate Institute in North York, Ontario. In 2000, she made her American film debut in the Disney Channel Original Movie Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire.



Vandervoort plays Sadie Harrison on Instant Star. While filming the episode "18" from the third season, she met current boyfriend, Corey Sevier, who had a guest spot on the show. In the episode, his character tried to kill her character's sister.



She has also appeared on CSI and The Dresden Files.



In 2007, she joined the seventh season cast of Smallville as Kara Kent aka Supergirl, Clark Kent's Kryptonian cousin.



She graced the cover of the October 2007 issue of Stuff Magazine, which was the final issue of the U.S. edition.
