Lauren Stamile

9/12/1976 , Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA

Birth Name

Lauren Stamile

Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Stamile describes herself as a "histrionic" child, due to the fact that she was the middle of five children. She performed in her first play at age four and started a theater program at her high school. After majoring in theater at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., Stamile moved to New York to pursue acting professionally.

She landed a role within months of her first audition in the off-Broadway production The Miser, and later understudied on Broadway for Lion in Winter. She has also appeared in the independent films Chaos Theory and the drama Something Sweet, the latter screening at the American Film Institute's annual festival.

Stamile is relocating from New York to Los Angeles for production on Off-Centre. When not working, she spends her time taking dance classes, practicing yoga and Pilates, reading, and watching old movies.
