  • Jericho Gets Second Chance

Jericho, the show in which Lennie plays Hawkins, was cancelled in May. Thanks to the fans of the show it has been given a second chance as of June 6, 2007. Below is the message posted on the Jericho forum from CBS. To the Fans of Jericho: Wow! Over the past few weeks you have putMore forth an impressive and probably unprecedented display of passion in support of a prime time television series. You got our attention; your emails and collective voice have been heard. As a result, CBS has ordered seven episodes of "Jericho" for mid-season next year. In success, there is the potential for more. But, for there to be more "Jericho," we will need more viewers. A loyal and passionate community has clearly formed around the show. But that community needs to grow. It needs to grow on the CBS Television Network, as well as on the many digital platforms where we make the show available. We will count on you to rally around the show, to recruit new viewers with the same grass-roots energy, intensity and volume you have displayed in recent weeks. At this time, I cannot tell you the specific date or time period that "Jericho" will return to our schedule. However, in the interim, we are working on several initiatives to help introduce the show to new audiences. This includes re-broadcasting "Jericho" on CBS this summer, streaming episodes and clips from these episodes across the CBS Audience Network (online), releasing the first season DVD on September 25 and continuing the story of Jericho in the digital world until the new episodes return. We will let you know specifics when we have them so you can pass them on. On behalf of everyone at CBS, thank you for expressing your support of "Jericho" in such an extraordinary manner. Your protest was creative, sustained and very thoughtful and respectful in tone. You made a difference. Sincerely, Nina Tassler President, CBS Entertainment P.S. Please stop sending us nuts :)

  • Jericho, Gilmore Girls Alums Find New Homes

Jericho and Gilmore Girls may be dead and gone, but like my dearly departed kitty Muffy Longclaws III, they have left things behind to remind us of their time here on Earth. But instead of hairballs and scratched-up furniture, these hows left behind some great cast members -- and two of them are back in new roles.

The suprise star of Jericho, playing Robert Hawkins. hide show

Best actor to come out of the UK in quite some time. Lennie has a regular guy feel and doesnt seem like just an actor playing a role. While Skeet Ulrich and Gerald McRaney were supposed to be the stars of Jericho, Lennie has taken over the show and is by far my favorite character, the mysterious Robert Hawkins, who played some role in the nuclear terrorist attack that crippled America on Jericho. Who is he? Undercover CIA agent? Terrorist collaborator? Bad guy turned good? His story line rivals that of a Tom Clancy novel. His character even has a web based series tied to each episode on whodroppedthebomb.com called COUNTDOWN that tells the story of how he became involved with the terrorist plot to bomb America.

Hopefully Jericho goes on for a number of years and Lennie James gets the attention he deserves here in America.

    10 Perfect
Lennie James has really stepped into this role and my hat is off to him. hide show

I have not previewed Mr. James prior to Jericho and this is the first show I have seen him in unless he was in something that I dont remember. All I can say is that he brings to the series Jericho a breath of fresh air. He seems to work in the perfectly adding a great shady element to this new series. I am sure as the show continues he will raise to new heights in the movie world. He has truely nailed this character role and I look forward to seeing him in future projects, as long as he doesn't leave Jericho too soon.

His character is a prick but his acting is great! hide show

Lennie James plays Robert Hawkins in Jericho. I think that his character is a real tight bastard but he does one hell of a job of playing him. His character is the most intreiving on the show and we don't know much about him but we know that he knows everything which is going on!
