Do you agree with the choice for the new Spock?

I'm not very enthusiastic about the choice or the fact that the new "movie" is a prequel. The guy new looks nothing like a young Lenny or young Spock for that matter. Not a goodchoice, IMO.

I would also prefer the new movie not to be a prequel, but if they do a good job, but might turn out to be pretty good. No, Zachary Quinto doesn't really look Spock, but he's a good actor and hopefully people will judge him in the new movie based on his acting skill and how well he does and not what he looks like. I think that, since Leonard Nimoy is so associated with the role, regardless of who was cast, there will always be complaints. I'll wait and see what happens.

I'm happy that Leonard will still be in it. Personally, I'm expecting either a time travel plot, or a "Flashback" (VOY) like plot, but that's just speculation. It also makes me feel better to see how enthusiastic Nimoy is about the movie, and the casting choice (since he played a part in it, I believe) so if he gives it his thumbs up, I'll trust he knows what he's doing.

Trying to fill Leonard Nimoy's shoe is impossible. I guess with enough make up, Zachary Quinto could resemble a young Spock.

The most important thing is being overlooked: The producers want to reboot the Star Trek Universe just as Batman and Superman were. The well that Paramount had been going to since 1987 (when Next Generation began) is completely dry. Star Trek: Enterprise was proof of that.

Trying to recreate the original series exactly as it was would be a failure. No question about it. We need to stop comparing this new incarnation to the one we know and love or we will doom it to failure before it hits a single screen.

I think he does look like spock, when he was in his 20. I like the new spock and give him an 8 star on the roll of Mr. Spock.
