Lesley Vickerage

Lesley trained at The Drama Studio, London. It now lists her on its web site as one of its eight 'Distinguished Alumni'.

From February to September 1998, Lesley played the part of Julia in a Royal Shakespeare Company production of The Two Gentlemen of Verona at the Swan Theatre, Stratford-on-Avon, directed by Edward Hall.

Lesley has directed a number of student showcases for East 15 Acting School, based in Loughton, Essex, England.

In 2004, Lesley directed the student play Dealer's Choice at the Criterion Theatre, London.

Her first movie role was in Robert Bierman's Keep the Aspidistra Flying (1997). Lesley played Hermione Slater, Ravelston's mistress.

Her first three screen roles were all in uniform. In Inspector Morse: Dead on Time (1992) and Between the Lines (1992) Lesley played uniformed police officers, then in Soldier, Soldier from 1992 to 1995 she was an army officer, moving from second lieutenant to captain.

Lesley's first public appearance on stage was at the Greenwich Young People's Theatre, in 1981.

According to an official search engine, there are only 115 people in the UK with the surname Vickerage, and just one Lesley Vickerage.

She said in an interview that she decided she wanted to be an actress when she saw a performance of the musical Godspell.
