While at University of Wisconsin, Leslie was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority where she undertook various leadership positions, and one year she was a Finalist for Outstanding Greek Woman of the Year.
Leslie got her Bachelor of Science at University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1998. She majored in Nutritional Sciences. In 2008 she received the Forward Under Forty award which honors Wisconsin Alumni who have made significant achievements in the world while under the age of 40.
