Leslie Hopps

Birth Name

Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Leslie began singing, dancing, and acting at an early age. She's not the only Hopps in showbiz though. Her uncle, Stuart Hopps is one of the UK's leading film choreographers. As a young girl Leslie was cast in Mavor Moore's original adaptation of 'A Christmas Carol.' Leslie later appeared along side Patti Duke in the CBS drama 'Family of Strangers' (1993) (TV) and won rave reviews from audiences and critics alike when she appeared on stage in the title role of Canada's premier musical, 'Anne Of Green Gables.'

She attended The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School (Canada), The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute (New York) and The William Davis Centre for Actor's Study (Canada). She is married to Thomas DeSchutter.
