Linda's first television job came in 1988, working for the SportsChannel America Network.
When asked what she would be doing if she was not on SportsCenter, Linda responded, "I'd be on Entertainment Tonight. I would be on the red carpet at the Oscars or the Emmys - that would be my dream."
Joined ESPN as a SportsCenter Anchor in July 1992.
Linda was the first-ever, full-time female sports anchor on a national radio network (ABC) in 1987.
Graduated from State University of New York (SUNY) at Oswego in 1981 with a bachelor of arts degree in communications.
