Mike Shinoda: When the rich wage war its the poor who die.
Mike: (referring to their album co-producer Rick Rubin) Rick is one of those guys where you can go through any door you want to go through. We're trying everything, just messing around with it until it sounds good.
Chester: (regarding the music direction of their third album) We're straying away from a lot of the predictable sounds we've had in the past, but there's no question in your mind when you hear it that it's Linkin Park...We've always said we write the music we write so that we can spread our wings as far as we want and try new things and go anywhere. I think we're really going to prove that with this new record.
Mike: (Talking about one of the songs that they are working on) The guitar sounds like Metallica, the beat sounds like Motown, and there's a Stones-like groove to it. But it's got rapping and Clash-style vocals - so if that's not f****d up enough for people to stop calling us rap rock, then I don't know what else to do.
Rob(about album after Meteora): I think the new album will definitely have some softer, piano based songs.
Rob: There are Meteora remixes? Oh yeah those. Those will make their way to the surface sometime, I don't know when.
