Lisa Moretti is known to most people as Ivory. But she has been in the wrestling game a lot longer then most know. Lisa started wrestling in 1984 and was hired by GLOW (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) in 1986. It didn't take her long to win their Tag Team Title and Women's Title, beating all that came and tried to get in her way. After she lost the title, Lisa left Glow and went to Powerful Women of Wrestling (POWW). There, she also won the title. She was also with G.L.O.R.Y, winning both the tag and singles titles there.

More In 1996 Lisa left the wrestling world. But in 1999, the WWE asked "Ivory" to come back to wrestling. She accepted, and made her debut 1999 as a "valet" to D'Lo Brown. But it did not take her long to get in to the mix for the WWE woman's title. She had 2 shots at the then champion Sable but could not beat her. She then got a shot at the next champion who she had a long time fued with, Debra, and won the title. She then held the title for a few months. She beat the likes of Tori, The Kat, and Jacqueline. Then the first ever woman's champion, "The Great Moolah," returned with Mae Young. Mae was given a shot at the title in a match which ended in a DQ when Moolah came out to help her friend Mae. Ivory & Moolah would have a match at No Mercy 1999. Moolah would win the title at the age of 74 with the help of Mae Young. Six days later Moolah tried to give the title back to Ivory but Ivory wanted to win it in a match, which she did. But she did not hold the title for too long. She lost it to "The Kat" in a pool match. Ivory was given a few shots at Kat's title but could not beat her. She would not hold the title until mid-2000 when she beat then champion Lita. Many women came after Ivory but she beat them all, that is, until she got in Chyna's way. The two met at the 2001 Royal Rumble where Ivory became the first ever woman to beat Chyna in a match. They met again at WrestleMania 18 and Ivory lost the title to Chyna. Ivory still wants the title 4 year's later, but has failed to win it. She went on to a short stint as a hard faced woman in the team Right To Censor with Val Venis, Steven Richards, and The Godfather. Now at age 45, she is still fit and in the best shape of her life.

She hosted The WWE Experience with Todd Grisham for the WWE and hoped to get back in the ring soon after but was released from her contract in 2005. After her WWE release Lisa started doing landscaping work. Following Hurricane Katrina became involved with charity work aimed at assisting the victims of the hurricanes. Lisa also wrestled sporadically on the independent circuit under her own name because the WWE trademarked the name Ivory. On November 19 2005 in Spartangburg, South Carolina she teamed with womens wrestler Bambi to defeat Kissy Vaine and Amber O'Neal for the CCW Tag Team Championship. On Apirl 21,2006 in Surrey, British Columbia,Lisa defeated Rebecca Knox for the SuperGirls Championship. She lost the tittle to Nattie Neidhart on October 8,2006, in Newark,California. Ivory has always been a favorite of mine. She may be older then many other Wrestling Divas but she's still in my top ten list. hide show

Ivory is without a doubt a true Queen of the ring. In her mid Forties she can put many Twenty year olds to shame with her incredible toned body, and awesome charisma. She is a true role model for Women every where. It is a shame WWE never had the brains to use her the right way she so deserved. I will miss seeing her in WWE but I have a feeling this is not the last we've seen of Lisa "Ivory" Moretti.
