  • Quotes

    • Liza Weil: (on doing theater) I feel it's the only place you can hone your skills as an actor. You flex a whole other muscle. You don't get to do the do-overs.

    • Liza Weil: (when she was playing Paris on "Gilmore Girls") I feel like I have to be really nice to fans to compensate for my character. I want them to spread the word that I'm really not mean.

    • Liza Weil: Being into acting made you an outcast loser at my school. Plus, I was the worst student ever.

    • Liza Weil: I feel like, living in Los Angeles, when you don't have a reason to be here, you're not busy, and you're not working, I find that I need to get out of here. Being here without a purpose and a place to be, can be a little maddening at times.

    • Liza Weil: Most of the time I'm really laid back, and pretty shy, and it probably takes a long time to get to know me, but I'm really nice once you get to know me.

    • Liza Weil (on being part of "Gilmore Girls") It's pretty rare to find female roles on television that are written with any kind of intelligence. That makes me really happy, and I certainly am proud to be a part of something that makes it cool for girls to be smart and read, and that's something I'm really, really, happy to be a part of.

    • Liza Weil: (on the finale of "Gilmore Girls") It's unfortunate that, I think, a lot of those fans are going to think there isn't closure. Hopefully, there won't be toilet paper in the trees of all the writers.

    • Liza Weil: I really wanted to go to New York and get out of suburbia, but I fell into that whole self-sabotage, 'protect-me-from-what-I-want' syndrome that I think all seniors in high school do.

    • Liza Weil: Teenagers really don't talk things out in real life. You see these Dawson's Creek teenagers who are so articulate, and talking about every problem imaginable, but the truth is teenagers don't have the skills to talk about things that upset them.

    • Liza Weil: (on her role as Paris Geller in "Gilmore Girls") I had a mediocre academic career, so playing a good student is fun for me. It's like sweet revenge. I'm constantly learning stuff now that I didn't even know before.

  • Played Paris on the hit show Gilmore Girls.

Liza Weil played Paris, Alexis (Rory's) best friend on the show, (well besides Lane) on the hit show Gilmore Girls. Lisa played Paris's part very, very, very well. She was serious when she had to be and then was very funny when she had to be also. She did an excellent job with the role and is a person that you can look up to. She is one of my favorite actresses from the show.moreless
  • A wonderful actress.

I first seen Liza Weil in the show Gilmore Girls and i thought that she was wonderful in the show as Paris Geller. She made you believe that she was really like Paris and that. She did a great job with that role. It is hard for me to see in a non agressive role because of her part on Gilmore Girls. I seen Liza Weil in a brief part in the West Wing which is another role that she did a wonderful job with. It just seemed a little weird to see her as a different person and a different show but I hope to see her in shows in the future.moreless
