Logan Wade Lerman was born in Beverly Hills, California, to a Jewish family. He has two siblings (Lindsey and Lucas). His mother Lisa (Goldman) is his manager, and his father Larry Lerman works in business and medicine.

Lerman wanted to become an actor after seeing a Jackie Chan movie at age 2 1/2. Shortly after making his decision and telling his mother, Lerman landed an agent at the age of 4 and booked two commercials back-to-back, earning his SAG card in the process.

… More youngest son in The Patriot. His next role was in the feature film Riding in Cars With Boys. His performance caught the attention of the producers of the CBS Hallmark Hall of Fame television movie A Painted House, and they cast Lerman in the starring role. Lerman's most recent performance in the Butterfly Effect was critically acclaimed.

Lerman's first leading role in a film was Hoot (2006), and he subsequently appeared in the thriller The Number 23 and the western 3:10 to Yuma, both in 2007. He played gaudy teenagers in Meet Bill (2008) and Gamer (2009), and a young version of movie star George Hamilton in My One and Only (also 2009). Lerman's next role, carrying the fantasy action film Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010), made him recognized among a wider audience.

When not working, Lerman is an avid soccer and baseball player. When time permits in his busy schedule, Logan plans on taking tennis lessons. When not involved in team sports, Lerman likes to play with his two dogs. Currently, Lerman resides in Beverly Hills with his family.

i HAVE THE SCOOP..

yuppers..once again i have the scoop on a hoot star =] . logan will be appering in the new movie "THE NUMBER 23" . logan will be playing jim cary's son . the movie is about a man who's wife buys him a book called the number 23. as he reads the book about a man who simply cant get the number 23 out… More of his head he figures out that the book is actually about his life. he relizes that the book is talking about everything going on in his life..and leads to a murder! the movie will be a thriller/ mystery. my guess is pg-13. once again it's gonna be coming out in 2007. get ready for this killer movie..literally!
