  • The Borghese are Papal nobility,not royalty. Being direct descendant of a King does not made you royalty. Prince -a reigning monarch,head of a noble family or members of a royal or highly noble family sharing their titles with others of the same rank.

    Pauline Bonarparte married a Prince Borghese but they had no children. Pope Paul V conveyed a noble title on his nephew Marcantonio Borghese that was the beginning of the noble line. Papal nobilty are frequently seen as more signifcant than royalty from petty or feudal kingdoms of bygone years.

    Some of their family lines go very far back and some back to the Roman Republic. For publicist to \"upgrade\" this nobility to royalty denigrates the significance of their nobility.

    The youg man in question has stated on interviews that the Borghese are not royalty but nobility.
