Although Lucy Davis was born into a show business family, most of her time as a young child was spent out of the spotlight. Her parents were extremely careful to keep Lucy and her three siblings out of the press. However, early on Lucy discovered a passion for acting. She appeared in school plays and won a spot at the Birmingham Youth Repertory Theater. At 18, Lucy attended the prestigious Conti Drama school. However, she was unhappy there and quickly transferred to the Carlton TV Junior Workshop.

While at Carlton, she began to find success in her acting. She won a role on a

More popular radio soap opera and in the miniseries Pride and Prejudice. During this time, she began to suffer from several health crises. Eventually, she needed a complete kidney transplant. She continues to battle diabetes which has made her weight fluctuate.

After surviving her fight for life, her acting career took off. She landed a role in the hit TV show The Office. The show was a commercial and critical success. It also served as jumping off point for Lucy. She moved to LA, where she continues to find work.

While in LA, Lucy met Owain Yeoman. The two married in December of 2006.

Amazing and funny actress. hide show

Sometimes I'm asking myself: "Why always me?". I'm not talking about hitting my toe somewhere or getting scratched by my cat. I'm talking about the love I have to give to very small supporting roles. No one else likes or notices them but I pay more attention to these characters than to any of the shows' big stars. Lucy Davis is one of these people. From the first moment I saw her on Studio 60 I fell in love with her character and that talented actress playing her. It might be the disarming accent- I'm not sure- and to be honest I don't care because isn't that what makes her so fantastic? She's mysterious but not unreal. She's funny but not ridiculous. She's blond but not dumb. Short: She's a very special lady worth paying more attention to.
