Luther Vandross was born Luther Ronzoni Vandross on April 20, 1951 in New York City, the baby of four siblings. His father also named Luther died due to diabetes at when he was eight years old. His mother Mary was a nurse who loved gospel music and always played music in the house. Luther Vandross created a band in high school. He sang with artists like Chaka Khan and Richard Marx. In my opinion, he was one of the best artists in the music industry. In 1977, he sang at the Super Bowl XXXI the national anthem. In his last years of life, Luther started having depression that led to obesity and high pressure. Famous singers like Patti LaBelle and Aretha Franklin were close friends of his. Though he is dead, he will always be a remembered singer with an awesome talent.
