The daughter of English actors Michael Anthony (real name Michael Chodzko) and Bernadette Milne, Lysette was performing in her parents' theatre company at the age of ten, when she starred in Pinocchio in London's West End. Her parents are said to have been so appalled by her precocity that they sent her straight off to a convent school in the far west of rural England.
However, at fourteen Lysette became the youngest member of the English National Youth Theatre, and at sixteen the photographer David Bailey nominated her as "the face of the Eighties".
Lysette then appeared nude in Playboy magazine, explaining that she wished to shake off her 'English Rose' image.
The rest is history.
