María Celeste made her acting debut playing herself in two episodes of the soap opera Passions in November 2002.
In January 2002 Arrarás left Primer Impacto for the anchor position on Al Rojo Vivo, which aired opposite the former.
Arrarás is also a writer whose investigative works include El Secreto De Selena, in which she investigated details of the death of singer Selena Quintanilla, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Cruelty, in which she investigated animal cruelty at the hands of entertainment entities.
After gaining the attention of Univision executives while working as a reporter, María Celeste was hired to anchor the news show Primer Impacto in early-1992.
María Celeste joined a local Puerto Rican television channel as a reporter in 1991.
Married to Manny Arevesu from 1990 until 27 March 2004. They had two children, son Julian and daughter Lara Giuiliana, and adopted a one-year old Russian boy named Vadim in 2000.
María Celeste is the daughter of politician Jose Enrique Arraras.
