Marco St. John is a film and television actor from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was born on May 7th, 1939 with the name Marco John Figueroa, Jr. Fearing that his Hispanic last name might limit his opportunities in Hollywood, he changed it from Figueroa to St. John. This versatile actor has appeared in scores of television programs and TV movies. Marco St. John is well known to many soap opera fans for his role as Paul Stewart on "As the World Turns"; he has also had roles on "All My Children" and "Search for Tomorrow." He was a staple of television programming throughout the 1960's and 1970's and made regular guest appearances on "Gunsmoke," "Walker, Texas Ranger," "Route 66", "Naked City" and other popular series. In recent decades, Marco St. John has continued to appear frequently in films and television. His most notable film roles are Sheriff Tucker in "Friday the 13th: A New Beginning" and the sleazy trucker in the 1991 blockbuster "Thelma & Louise."
