  • A complete disaster.

Really, Maria as a writer is a complete disgrace to the soap opera world. Now, I have nothing against Maria as a woman, but her profile on this site is here pretty much because of her writing career on "The Young and the Restless."

She should stick to her fashion business (I won't go into her dressing stuff because I don't know much about fashion) and get far away from a pen as possible. Sadly, in a matter of a few months that she was the writer for "The Young and the Restless" every single thing about the show was destroyed - she pretty much destroyed every single character on the show, and she keeps pretending like she's writing a symphony.

Sadly, it seems that because she married a Bell, her position there is as strong as concrete. Just because of that, "The Young and the Restless" should be canceled immediately.moreless
  • Maria Arena Bell has had a long standing history and understanding of Y&R. At the helm as Head Writer, she has taken the show back bringing strong character driven story which is in keeping with it's creator, William J. Bell.moreless

Cleaning up a mess left behind with a former novice writing staff led by Lynee Lathan, 2008 has been a fantastic year for Y&R with the re-introduction of much loved characters to support great stories including Hope Adams, Liz Foster, Dina Mergeron, Nina McNeill, Olivia Hasting, Danny Romalotti, Ashley Abbott. The re-invention of existing characters through the roles of Chloe, Cane Ashby, Eden Baldwin, Noah Newman.

The show I'm watching today is relevant to the show I was watching 15 years ago when I was in high school, in 2007 I didn't recognise Y&R with it's black outs, thunder storms and building collapses and am glad everything is back in the right course.moreless
