Marilyn Manson, whose real name is Brian Hugh Warner, was born on January 5, 1969 in Canton, Ohio to the parents of Hugh and Barb Warner. During his childhood, one of his neighbors molested him several times until the young Brian broke down one day and told his mother what happened. As an only child, he would often get into mischievous activities such as adventure through his grandfather Jack Warner's sex toys, shoot his BB gun with his cousin Chad, and create sex magazines to sell to his classmates. His parents raised him as an Episcopalian, and he attended the religious private Heritage… More Christian School. It was there that he became fueled with hate towards Christanity. During his tenth grade year, he convinced his parents to let him attend a public school.

After he graduated from high school, he and his parents moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida because his father got a better job there. He studied journalism and theater at the local community college called Broward, and being some place new and feeling lonely, he wrote poems and short stories. After being fired from his last job at a record store, he became entertainment journalist for a local magazine. He interviewed several famous musicians including Trent Reznor from the band Nine Inch Nails. Along with his job and writing, he would also frequently go to rock clubs. He soon decided to create his own band. With musical influences from Ozzy Osbourne and KISS, he recruited other musicians with the same interests and started the band called Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids. He got the name Marilyn Manson as a combination from the names of the movie star Marilyn Monroe and the psycho killer Charles Manson. The band's name would later officially change to just Marilyn Manson, and most of the original band members would leave and be replaced, too. Manson reunited with Trent Reznor and had his band tour with Nine Inch Nails. Reznor would also produce Marilyn Manson's first three albums (Portriat of an American Family, AntiChrist Superstar, and Mechanical Animals) and an E.P. (Smells like Children). Mechanical Animals is Marilyn Manson's most successful album to date.

With the success, Manson became a controversial celebrity, because the anti-Christian message in his songs, and Satanist Anton Szandor LaVey deemed Manson a Reverend for the Church of Satan. Also with fame, Manson started to mingle with other celebrities, and began a romantic relationship with the actress Rose McGowan. They became engaged, but broke off the relationship in 2001. He then fell in love with the burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese, and soon became engaged. They had a fairytale, non-denominational wedding in a castle in Ireland. Meanwhile, Manson came out with two more albums (Holy Wood, and the Golden Age of Grotesque), and a best of album (Lest We Forget: The Best Of...). He also dabbled into acting by being in such movies as Jawbreaker, Party Monster, and The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things. He continues to make music and act in movies.

    I dont like the drugs...But the drugs like me hide show

    I really like Mariyln Manson. I just got his new album, eat me drink me a few days ago. And I have to say i'm impressed. I really like his music. Nobody else is like him, so it makes him original and unique. Way to go Manson. People think he's creepy...But he's really not. I dont understand why people have bad stigmas towards him. He's just a person in the end. My favorite song by him is I dont like the drugs, but the drugs like me. I think it's great haha. I really like the female vocals in the end of the song. Really unique.

    Brian Hugh Warner took his name from Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson, two of the most extreme people in history. A name that is deffenitly worthy of. You either love him to death or hate his guts. There is no middle ground. Either way, he is one of the most contraversal people in America. He is many things. Artistic, unique, talented, hot, but one thing he is not is stupid. Most people think he is mildly retarted or something. The truth is he is very intelligent, one of the smartest men I know. A lot of parents blame him for thier kids "bad" behavior. But is it really his fault that your kid is acting out? As he says bad parents make bad kids. I couldn't agree more. Yes he does cause problems, he has admitted that much, but his music is not the reason kids are acting out. He is extremely aware of the world around him. He has had super hits such as The Beautiful People, Torniquet, and his latest hit Heart Shaped Glasses. His music is just as amazing and unique as he is. It puts me in my happy place. And if you took the time to think about it, is he really that different? Or is he just saying what a lot of people out there are thinking. Well, wether you think he is a satanic beast or an unbeliveable artist he is here to stay for a long time.

    Marilyn Mansion is a part of the greatest bands of all time. hide show

    Marilyn Manson is really amazing. He is apart iof the greatest band and has so many deep songs. His lyrics are amazing. Marilyn seems to be a reel cool person insode and you just want to get to know him. His bands albums are all brilliant and are getting greater and greater as he evolves as a person. I hope Marilyn Manson is around to stay for a very long time.

    Marilyn Manson is a band and person that has rocked the music industry for over a decade. Marilyn Manson is very well known and gets alot of attention on June 5th Marilyn Manson brings out their sixth full legnth album Eat Me Drink Me. hide show

    Marilyn Manson is a genius!!!

    Marilyn Manson is the best singer and band I have ever heard. Marilyn Manson brings the great unique voice and the excellent lyrics. Tim Skold, John 5 and Zim Zum brings in the excellent guitaring. Twiggy Ramirez (and now Rob Holliday) brings the perfect bass riffs and Ginger Fish brings in the greatest drumming. Marilyn Manson are the best band ever and have brought out 5 and in a few weeks six excellent full legnth albums that I have been listening to for years Marilyn Manson is one of the only true artists today.

    he should star on his own show that would be awesome i love this guy next to steven jay blum this guy has lots of great songs overall this guy rocks his name comes from mariyln monroe and charles manson so i will give this guy a 10 out of 10
