Marissa: (Being asked what she sleeps in) I don't really like to sleep in anything. Except if it's cold. Then I love the Victoria's Secret flannel pajamas. It's all or nothing!
Marisa: It's awesome to be on the AskMen.com list again! I've had such an amazing year and to know that I have fans that care enough to vote and support me is really flattering.
Marisa: (Talking about her body painting artwork in Sports Illustrated) It's a pretty unique experience, and they only select a few girls to do that in every issue. But it's a challenging day in a lot of ways. Some of the suits take like, 16 hours to paint. Then there's the obvious fact that you don't have any clothes on. It's a little challenging, but the end result is cool.
Marisa: Recently, I was on a cover and my dad was so excited that he bought three copies of the magazine at the grocery store. The woman at the checkout looked at him like he was a total pervert. My dad was like, "No! That's my daughter on the cover!' And she was like, "Uh-huh..."
Marisa: (Being asked what people don't know about her) I'm very down-to-earth and approachable, and I can be one of the guys and watch sports… I like to cook -- I'm like the girl next door.
Marisa: Loyalty is huge for me. I would do anything for the people I love and they have to have my back too. Honesty. Genuineness. And I love affection! Not necessarily always physical, I just like warm friendly people. Smiles and hugs!
Marisa: (Giving advice to aspiring models) Stay grounded. It's just your looks. Be appreciative. It doesn't last forever. Have fun and be happy!
Marisa: I'm a little shy and unassuming, which might be hard to believe with my job, so I don't have to quite become another person out there but I have to think about letting it all go. My last outfit was a black velvet one-piece with pink feathers on the back. I had to show the camera my tailfeathers, so I did give a little spin.
Marissa: (on modeling) I get a kick out of it, but it would be stupid to let it go to my head. It's modeling, I didn't find the cure for cancer.
Marisa: I have a very strong faith in God.
Marisa: Surfing has become almost an addiction at this point. The more I do it, the stronger the need becomes.
Marisa: The first thing I do every morning is go online to check the surf. If the waves are good, I'll go surf. The beach is 10 minutes away.
