Mark Rolston was born on December 7th, 1956, in Baltimore, Maryland. He has been a professional actor since 1980, getting his start in the television show Starfleet. His other television credits included roles in Matlock, Tales from the Crypt, Murder She Wrote, Babylon 5, and NYPD Blue. His first movie was Aliens in 1986, where he played the part of PFC M. Drake. Rolston went on to act in over 30 more films including Saw V, Rush Hour, Eraser, and Lethal Weapon 2. He is best known for his role as Bogs Diamond in 1994's The Shawshank Redemption, where he starred alongside Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman. His character in the movie was the leader of a prison gang known as "the Sisters." The Shawshank Redemption was critically acclaimed and received several Academy Award nominations. In spite of his prolific television and film career, Mark Rolston has not been nominated for any awards as an actor.
