Marla is an American soap opera writer. Her first daytime job came in the 1990s when she joined the crew of "Days of our Lives" and "The Young and the Restless" for a brief period as the writers assistant. She then joined both "General Hospital" and its spin-off "Port Charles" as the production coordinator during 1997-1998. She briefly wrote scripts for "General Hospital" in 1998, and then went on to write scripts for "Port Charles" from 1998 to the show's end in 2003. In 2003, she wrote scripts for a prime time show titled "Wild Card." After briefly writing scripts for "All My Children" in 2004, Marla was briefly signed as an associate head writer in 2004, and then went back to writing scripts, a job she held until the summer of 2008. She then joined the crew of "The Young and the Restless" as a breakdown writer.
