Starting her career on family oriented comedies such as "Boy Meets World", "Step By Step" and "Full House", it might have been easy to write Marla off as just another teen actress. Fortunately, there's more to her than those shows might have led us to believe. In addition to more mature roles in "The Practice" and "Desperate Housewives", Marla has also emerged as a singer/songwriter worth watching. She released her debut album, Grateful, in February of 2006 and has plenty more on her plate.
I became a Marla fan after catching the Film, Sugar & Spice (2001). Her portrayal Lisa Janusch was played with a perfect combination of spunk and spite. She also proved how fantastic green eyeshadow can look done correctly.
Marla's star is rising, yet she stays grounded. As long as she is acting, writing and performing - she can count on at least one fan.
