Marla creates custom guitar straps under the name "Kiss My Axe" Guitar Straps. The prices range from $50 - $120. She has made guitar straps for the likes of
Sheryl Crow (Paisley Embroidery),
Avril Lavigne (Skulls and Crossbones) and
Britney Spears (Butterflies).

Marla has a collection of guitars. Her most favorite and the one she writes with is her Taylor acoustic.

Along with his castmates, Marla was nominated in the category of Outstanding Performance By An Ensemble In A Drama Series at the Screen Actors Guild Awards three years in a row (1999, 2000 and 2001) for
The Practice.

Marla has a cat named Cleo and a dog named Coco.

In addition to the guitar, Marla also plays the clarinet and piano.

Off the screen, Marla describes herself as boring. She spends little time in the kitchen (she can't cook) and lots of time in the bathroom (she takes many baths).

Everclear music video for the song "Brown Eyed Girl". She also appeared in the
Goo Goo Dolls music video for the song "Name" in 1995.

When Marla was eleven years old, she performed the national anthem at an Oakland A's baseball game and for the USO.

Throughout March of 2006, Marla donated 20 percent of the sales from her Kiss My Axe guitar strap line to weSPARK, a cancer support center.

Marla's father, Howard, is a doctor. Her mother, Cindi, was a caterer and now manages Marla's career. Her brother is a chef.
