What to watch on Monday, February 8.
For the week of February 9-February 15: It's a busy week featuring the debut of an anticipated sci-fi series, one of cable's best drama actors guest-starring in one of primetime's best comedies, and the return of a reality staple. On the Web, we've got an interview with two Heroes as well as an interview with the heroic crew of Flight 1549.
In front of the camera and on the red carpet television actors are all smiles, hugs, and "what up, girl!" But of course these thespians we put on a pedestal also happen to be human beings (well, most of them anyway), which means behind the scenes, hair is flying, tantrums are thrown, and feelings are crushed.
Claire Bennett (Hayden Panettiere) may be Heroes' cheerleader in front of the camera, but behind the scenes, no Heroes cast member does a better job of cheerleading for the show than Masi Oka. The Japanese-born actor has become one of the main faces of the drama and a fan favorite as time- and space-bending Hiro Nakamura.
Masi Oka took time out of his busy shooting schedule--episode 12 is currently being filmed--to discuss Heroes with the media this morning, and TV.com was there.
Bad blood: NBC won't let its talent reprise guest roles in former NBC and current ABC show Scrubs.
Series creator Tim Kring and Masi Oka talk about their Emmy nods, season two, and the upcoming DVD release of Heroes.
Comedy nods go to Office, 30 Rock, Betty; Heroes, Grey's, Sopranos up for drama, Lost isn't.
Nominees narrowed to 10, according to Web site; Extras, Friday Night Lights in, The Tudors, The Wire out.
