Matt Clark is an American actor who was born on November 25, 1936 in Washington, DC. He is the son of Frederick William Clark and Theresa Castello. Clark attended George Washington University, but dropped out before graduating. He worked at several jobs until joining a theatre group in Washington, D.C. Clark later joined the Living Theatre company in New York and began acting in community theatre and off-Broadway productions during the late 1950s. His first television role was in a 1966 episode of Ben Casey, a medical drama. Clark remained active in film and television, working steadily until 2001. He is a character actor primarily known for his supporting roles in Westerns and dramas. He also directed two episodes of Midnight Caller, a television drama that ran from 1988 tp 1991. Clark married poet Erica Lann in 1958 and the couple divorced in 1966. They have four children named Matthias, Jason, Seth and Aimee. Clark is represented by The Kohner Agency in Beverly Hills.
