As a young child, I grew up watching old movies on television. One of my personal favorite movies was The Quiet Man with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. Miss O'Hara was gorgeous. Her character, Mary Kate Danaher, was the one that I will always associate with her. If given a choice I would watch a movie with Miss O'Hara than with most of the new movies out now. Miracle on 34th Street was another of my favorites with her, and it is indeed another classic. And for her newer movies I also love her in Only the Lonely and The Christmas Box. While this review is not doing Miss O'Hara sufficient justice, I would like to share something here that is a living tribute to her. My husband and I named our daughter, Mary Kate, after Miss O'Hara's character in The Quiet Man. My Mary Kate is like Miss O'Hara's character, gorgeous, strong, intelligent, and independent. Thank you for your life's work, Miss O'Hara!
